Spring Applied Electromagnetic Brake, Type FSB Flange mounted spring applied brakes are designed to decelerate or hold inertial loads when the voltage is switched off, either intentionally or accidentally, if there is a power failure. The flange mounting is suitable for connection to a motor or fastening to a bulkhead.

Hex Drive: For sizes 001 & 003 position hub 0.254-0.508mm back from friction disc with coil de-energised, and for sizes 007+ position hub 0.254-0.762mm back from clapper plate with coil de-energised. Zero-Backlash: Position hub to run freely with coil energised, taking care to centre the friction disc between the clapper and pressure plate. Centreline of the set screw(s) in the hub.
